Abstract. The clinical and hematological signs of plasmacytoma in a 45 year old man are presented. Immunohistochemical study of the bone marrow punctate and immunoelectrophoresis of serum proteins have revealed that tumor cells produce monoclonal l-IgD. Long survival (i.e. 6 years) of the patient and good prognosis are thought to be related to an early diagnosis and effective therapy of the disease.
