Abstract. Olypiphate (OP) is a new preparation received from lignin by multistage technology and containing guimine compounds. Preparation has been tested for different biological activities in vivo (in particular, for antitumor activity) and has been recommended for clinical trials in cancer patients. That’s why remote effects of OP action has been investigated, i.e. the study of OP influence on generative function in rat, its embryotoxic action in antenatal and postnatal periods, potential mutagenecity by Aims test and ability to induce chromosomal aberrations as well as the testing of OP potential cancerogeneity on Danio rerio fish. It was revealed that OP doesn’t cause remote consequences.

Key Words: olypiphate, reproductive toxicity, mutagenecity, cancerogenecity.
